Calculator Explanation

Formula: L₁₀ = ( C / P ) ^t x ( B / n) x a

Where:

L₁₀ in Hours
C = radial rating of bearing in lbf or N
P = radial load or dynamic equivalent radial Load on the bearing in lbf or N
t = dependent on bearing type
- t = 3 for ball bearings
- t = 10 / 3 for roller bearings
B = ISO factor of 10⁶ / 60
n = rotational speed in rev/minute
a = life adjustment factor (a = 1 when environmental conditions are not considered)

Note: radial rating and load rating should always share the same units (lbf or N)
