Why Does The Blogger's Email Address Look Funny?

The reason that email addresses show as text is to hide them from spiders and spammers. Spiders find email addresses formatted in this way difficult to find and therefore makes it more difficult for spammers to add the addresses to lists.

If you look at other blogs and many forums on the web you will find that this is the format most often used. Blogs are also supposed to encourage readers to leave comments. Most people would rather not have their email addresses published on a site. It is possible in this system to not display an email address at all.

The object of posting a blog is to get others to comment about what PKB has posted and not to generate emails to the blogger. On the other hand, if a reader really wants to email us they can easily open their email client and type in the email address.
